Exporting and Importing Amazon and Amazon FBA Sales into RPii.

To Produce the two reports you need :

For the regular Amazon Sales, on Amazon, Select orders tab, Order Reports, New Orders, Date Range:Last Day, Select Request.

When the report is ready, you will be able to Download and save this report away, this will be your NEW ORDERS report.

For Amazon FBA sales, on Amazon, Select Reports tab, Fulfillment by Amazon.

On the left under Sales, select Show More... Select All Orders. Set Event Date to Last Day (yesterday), select Request Download. This takes a minute, and when ready, select Download and save this report away, this will be your ALL ORDERS report.

To upload your sales information to RPii, on RPii select New Stock tab, New Setup, AmazonData, Import and Update.
  • Amazon Sales Import from New Orders Report. Select your NEW ORDERS report (created above) in the 'drop files here' section. Don't forget to put a U in the confirm (U)pdate sales box if there isn't one already. Select Just Run. This will give you a list of any sales it has created, or any Amazon Orders it has ignored, if they are already there.

  • Amazon FBA Sales Import from All Orders report. Select your ALL ORDERS report (created above) in the 'drop files here' section. Don't forget to put a U in the confirm (U)pdate sales box if there isn't one already. Select Just Run. This will give you a list of any sales it has created, or any Amazon Orders it has ignored, if they are already there.

  • Amazon Customer update from Unshipped Orders Rep. This is the old import which you were previously using to update the customers name and address against Amazon sales when Amazon previously stopped sending the details in the API. With the new 'amazon Sales Import from New Orders Report' you no longer need to use this option, as Amazon send the customers details down in that report.

Installing Chromium with built in Flash Player for RPii.

In a browser go to www.refpoint.co.uk/downloads

Downloads

Select Browser/Flash Bundle.

Go into the downloads folder.
Right click on the rp2chromium.zip file and Extract All.

Extract All

Change the extraction folder to C:\ and select Extract.

C Drive

Open the new folder rp2-chromium
Right click on the RP2 (shortcut), select Send to > Desktop (Create Shortcut).

Right Click

Close this folder.

On the desktop there is now a RP2 icon.
Right Click on the RP2 icon, select Properties.
At the end of the Target line, replace COMPANY with your 3 letter company identifier followed by .rpdns.co.uk (So for example it will then show https://abc.rpdns.co.uk obviously your company is not abc. If you are working remotely away from the office or shop then this will need to be your remote link, for example https://abcremote.rpdns.co.uk).

Change Target

Select OK.

Now when you double click RP2 it should take you straight to your server login page. When you login it shouldn't ask any questions about Flash Player.

Carls Tip: Thermal Printer no longer prints out on Firefox since the Firefox update.

Since the recent May 2016 update to Mozilla Firefox thermal receipt printers are no longer working with Firefox.

This only effects computers where the till has been set up to not pop up a dialogue box in when printing from Mozilla Firefox.

Close all sessions of Firefox. Open up a new session. in the address bar enter in about:config and press enter.

You may get a message regarding Here be Dragons.

Select "I'll be careful, I promise" you will be taken to the Mozilla Firefox hidden config page.

At the top of the page in the Search box, type in print.always_print_silent

You should see a result which is set to True. Double click this and set to false.

Then close this session down and open up a new session. Log into RPii as normal. This does now mean that you will get a print dialogue page when you do a receipt - but the good things is you can click cancel if the customer doesn't want a receipt.

Integration with DPD couriers

If you use DPD as one of your delivery couriers then why not have RPii automate the process. The EPOS system will send DPD the delivery manifests, which DPD will then import into it's system.

DPD will then export a file with consignment numbers on, which we will automatically import into point of sale.

If this is something you are interested in, then give us a call.

Integration with Interlink Express couriers

If you use Interlink Express as one of your delivery couriers then why not have RPii automate the process. The EPOS system will send Interlink the delivery manifests, which Interlink will then import into it's system.

Interlink will then export a file with consignment numbers on, which we will automatically import into point of sale.

If this is something you are interested in, then give us a call.

Setting up a trade customer with 30 days or net monthly terms

If you give a customer some settlement terms then their statement produced via the Accounts Module will show a due date accordingly.  Two types of terms are supported.
  1. A specific number of days from the invoice date. Simply enter this into the Settlement Days box on the customer record.
  2. Net Monthly - ie the last day of the month following the date of invoice. EG an invoice date of 15/04/15 will give a due date of 31/05/2015. To use this enter NETMONTHLY in the Settlement Discount Schemes box.

Carls Tip: New Manifest filtering

Previously when creating or listing up current manifests, there was only an option to filter delivery manifests by location.

After the next up date there will be more options, allowing you to filter if the by Couriers or Own delivery teams, as well as individual teams, locations and the ship date of the Manifest.

Select the criteria you want to filter on and click the magnify glass to search.

Any Questions on this, or if you have any other suggestions for a 'Carl Tip' that other people would find useful, drop me a line on support.
